The School district staff and the officer would recommend from the board delays plans to adopt the new science of materials from now until September 2012.Yeah, A state of deadline for the adoption was 2 months ago, but districts can delay the state of deadline for two years later. The extra time was give the district an opportunity to try out the bit of materials at some schools here.
As with all other school districts in the area, Beaverton district officials will make a decision Tuesday morning whether to cancel or delay school. The decision will be noted in an alert message on the district's.
"This will be the most important decision we will make as a board," said board member Lisa Shultz, during a meeting Monday night.
The board is seeking to replace superintendent Jerry Colonna, who is retiring at the end of the school year.
