Well, “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” at all of theatre.

At THEATRE were holding auditions by appointment only on Sunday,
21-11-2010 at 1p for upcoming production of Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? by Edward Albee. The production runs January 28 – February 27, 2011 and will be directed by J. Barry Lewis, resident director of Palm Beach Dramaworks in West Palm Beach, Florida. Seeking 4 professional actors for the roles of Martha, George, Honey and Nick – character descriptions can be found on the website.   Auditioners should prepare two contrasting 1 minute monologues and be prepared to read from the script.   Perusals are available at the theatre Mon – Saturday 11a – 6p.

Steppenwolf Theatre Company continues its 2010-2011 season with Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? directed by Pam MacKinnon. The production features ensemble members Tracy Letts and Amy Morton with Carrie Coon and Madison Dirks. however, I would not say that I am afraid of the modernist masters such as Virginia Woolf (she is a personal hero of mine - God I adore her). Nor the departure from reality and into the realm of stream of consciousness, or the injection of the writer into the narrative. But the literary movement which followed modernist literature does leave me quaking in my proverbial boots as a writer and a reader.
