Well,, UFC President Dana White has refused to give Gray Maynard an immediate rematch after he fought light weight champ Frankie Edgar to a split decision draw.
Instead White will stick to his plans announced before the event to allow the final WEC light weight champion Anthony Pettis to get an immediate title shot to unify the WEC and UFC belts.
However, If you thought this fight would be boring and skipped out on purchasing the show, you missed a hell of a main event. Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard went to war in a fight that was so close it was ruled a split draw on scores of 48-46, 46-48 and 47-47.
At The first round saw one of the most dominant performances of Gray Maynard's career. He came out and landed a huge shot that rocked the champion. He didn't get the finish but he kicked off the fight with a bang.
Somehow the champion "Answered" the bell for the second frame. Not only that, he came out throwing shots that were landing clean and doing damage to his much bigger challenger. Oh and he also landed a huge takedown slam.
Nate Diaz and Dong Hyun Kim put on a show at UFC 125 that should put them in the lead for the Fight of the Night bonus. For three rounds they put on a great display of striking and grappling that was exciting at all times.
